Our Approach to Counselling
Here at Centre Self Collective we encourage and empower EVERYONE to prioritize their mental, emotional and social health.
We aim to create a safe community for people to speak about mental health and seek support. To change the conversation by influencing the health care sector through leadership and advocacy. WE tailor each session to the individual and work from a truama informed and strengths based framework.
We value, Health and wellbeing, connection, community, integrity and growth mindset. To be known as a service that makes people feel safe and offers therapy, workshops, education, and tools.

Marlee Banfield (She/Her) Counsellor & Psychotherapist.
Marlee is a counsellor and psychotherapist with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counselling. Marlee’s approach is person-centred with an emphasis on cultivating mindful curiosity and self-compassion. Marlee has a particular interest in supporting clients with relationship challenges, emotion regulation and identity assertion.
Marlee works collaboratively with clients to gently unpack personal narratives and emotional themes in order to gain clarity and insight into past and present concerns. Marlee believes that we all make perfect sense given our unique histories and experiences.

Centre Self Collective is based in Brunswick, Melbourne and Daylesford. We also have telehealth options available. We are currently accepting new clients now.
