Description about therapeutic approaches:

Ash is an experienced Mental Health Social Worker working with adults from diverse backgrounds and identities in the family violence and counselling fields. She specialises in supporting people experiencing anxiety and depression, and people impacted by family violence.

Ash is available on Thursday and Fridays offering individual and group therapy. She utilises evidence-based modalities such as Schema Therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Her practice framework incorporates strengths-based, trauma-informed, collaborative, anti-oppressive, and person-centred approaches.

Drawing from her own therapeutic journey, Ash understands that starting therapy may seem daunting. She places a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, ensuring her clients feel comfortable in the space. Whilst co-creating safety, Ash provides a collaborative journey with her clients to address their unique mental health challenges.

In her spare time, Ash loves to hang out with her cats and catch up on a good tv show or movie. She enjoys selfcare routines such as meditating and sitting in the morning sun, going on trips, playing guitar, and painting.

With a background in individual and group counselling, working with victim/survivors and perpetrators of family violence, suicide crisis support, and disability work, Ash is passionate about empowering individuals to work towards their goals and embrace their authentic selves.
