about Jules
Therapeutic approaches
As a social worker, Jules is particularly interested in the way the systems we are part of – whether relational or political – shape our view of the world and experiences of mental health. She works alongside clients to explore their experiences with curiosity and care, always honouring their individual strengths, stories, and hopes for change.
Jules has extensive experience supporting people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties. Her approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, and she draws from a range of evidence-based modalities to tailor therapy to each person’s needs. Depending on what brings you to therapy, sessions may incorporate Schema Therapy, ACT, CBT, DBT skills, Polyvagal-informed work, and mindfulness-based approaches. She also holds Gottman Level 1 training for working with couples.
Jules knows what a big step it is to reach out for support and considers it a privilege to be part of your journey, whether it’s your first time and it feels a bit daunting, or perhaps you’ve had negative experiences with therapy in the past.
Outside of work, Jules enjoys reading, cooking, and tending to her many indoor plants.
