about sin-ying
Therapeutic approaches
Sin-Ying is passionate about the well-being of individuals and is keen to make a positive difference in their lives. She adopts a client-centred approach in her work by building strong therapeutic relationships and working collaboratively with individuals using an evidence-based approach.
With experience across family services, family violence, public mental health, and private practice settings, Sin-Ying brings a rich and nuanced understanding to her work. She has a particular interest in supporting adults navigating trauma recovery, adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety and borderline personality disorders. In addition to this, Sin-Ying supports people with grief and loss, adjustment to life transitions, emotional regulation, workplace stress, and relationship difficulties.
Sin-Ying works collaboratively with clients, tailoring her approach using a range of evidence-based modalities, including Eye Movement De-sensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and short-term solution-focused strategies. She also brings experience in crisis intervention, risk assessment and safety planning.
Sessions with Sin-Ying offer a compassionate space to explore challenges, build coping strategies, and foster growth at your own pace. Sin-Ying can also provide therapy in Mandarin.
Outside of work, Sin-Ying enjoys going for a walk, hiking, playing squash, cycling and reading.
Sin-Ying will be available to see clients from late July. Please get in touch with our friendly admin team to book in.
