Are you often the giver in relationships? Left pouring from an empty cup when it comes to yourself.
Do you feel like you are on edge around others at work or in personal relationships – like you are always needing to know what might happen next.
Have you noticed yourself responding in particular ways – like making yourself quiet and small, just to get through the day, even if this doesn’t feel good?ย
Do you feel like you are always striving for better? Never feeling like what you have achieved is enough?
Are you feeling deeply lonely, even when you’re surrounded by othersโlike no one truly sees the real you?
Have you tried talk therapy but still find yourself triggered by the pastย and want to unhook from the control this has over you?
At Centre Self Collective, we understand that recovery from adverse and distressing experiences requires a space that feels both safe and effective. Our team of specialised EMDR therapists are deeply committed to supporting you with compassion, evidence-based care, and a focus on your unique experiences.ย
We offer our EMDR immersive program both online and in-person at our Daylesford and Brunswick locations, providing a flexible pathway to recovery that honours your comfort and lifestyle.ย
Our EMDR immersive program is an accelerated therapy format designed for deep, efficient work. Over the course of your selected program, you will receive multiple hours of dedicated one-on-one therapy. This condensed approach allows us to focus intently on processing adverse, distressing and/or traumaticย memories and alleviating distressing emotions, helping you achieve meaningful relief in a shorter timeframe. ย
Our EMDR immersive program isย thoughtfully structured to provide a supportive container for significant change, guided by the latest clinical research and a profound respect for your pace and process.ย
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become”
Options to Work With Your Schedule
Our EMDR Immersive Programs
All of our EMDR immersive programs are suitable for people with a wide range of experiences โ from single-incident events through to complex and long-term trauma.
Many clients choose to:
-
start with a shorter program to get a feel for the work, and
-
book additional programs over time if theyโd like to go deeper.
If youโre living with complex trauma or long-term difficulties, you are absolutely welcome to begin with any of the programs below. We can work together to pace the therapy and, if needed, map out multiple rounds of EMDR over time.
All of our options are available in-person or online. Medicare rebates are available for all immersive programs.
Starter Program
10 hours of therapy across 5 sessions.ย
This program is a great starting point for many people.ย
This program may be a good fit if youโd like to:
-
Work on one or two specific experiences (for example: a car accident, birth trauma, medical procedures, home invasion, injury or natural disaster), and/or
-
Address burnout and work on the underlying causes and core beliefs connected to it, such as perfectionism, the inner critic, conflict avoidance, people-pleasing, and imposter syndrome. Start understanding these parts and begin processing key experiences that shaped those core beliefs (great for senior management, executives, and other high-pressure roles).
-
Understand the link between your current difficulties, how these were shaped by your past experiences and the ways in which you’ve learnt how to cope. Build resources and process one or two specific experiences which led to the development of your current difficulty.
You can still choose this program if youโve had longer-term or more complex experiences. In that case, weโll usually focus on one key theme or memory cluster for this round, with the option to book additional programs later if helpful.
Starter inclusions:
- Pre and post-assessment questionnaires
- Three personalised treatment workbooks
- Five 2-hour sessions
- Lifetime access to our EMDR Resource Hub:ย ย

-
chronic health issues or persistent pain
-
addiction or eating disorder histories
-
ongoing stress linked to identity and systemic factors โ for example neurodivergence, race, disability, gender expression or sexuality
You do not need to fit any particular label to choose this program. It can be a solid option if you:
-
know thereโs โa lot thereโ and want more time than the Starter Program offers, or
-
live with complex trauma and would like to begin with something manageable, knowing you can always book another round.

Premium Program
30 hours of therapy across 15 sessions

-
Pre-verbal, developmental or implicit trauma (things you may not recall clearly, but still deeply feel)

Points of difference
Why Choose an EMDR Immersive Programme
Below are some reasons why people choose EMDR Intensives – see if they resonate with you.

Focused time, faster progress
If therapy has felt slow, or you’re ready for change now, an immersive program gives you the dedicated space to dive in and make meaningful shifts more quickly.ย ย

Cost-effective care
With focused sessions, immersions often get to the heart of things faster, meaning fewer sessions overall, saving you both time and money in the long run.

A fresh approach
If talk therapy hasn’t quite clicked, EMDR immersives offer a different way forward – one that works with both your mind and body.

Fits your life
If weekly therapy feels impossible to juggle, immersives let you do the work in a way that suits your schedule.ย

Clear on your goals
If you know what you want to work on and feel ready for change, an EMDR immersive can help you get there faster.

A supportive add-on
Sometimes talk therapy stalls on a tricky spot, an EMDR immersive offers a different approach that can complement the work you are already doing.
FAQS
Your wellbeing matters to us. These FAQs are here to support you with the information you need before getting started
Who can benefit from EMDR?
EMDR can benefit anyone struggling with symptoms that stem from disturbing or traumatic life experiences. These experiences don’t have to be a single, dramatic “big-T” trauma (like a car accident). They can also be recurring, less obvious “small-t” traumas (like childhood bullying, emotional neglect, or growing up in a high-stress environment). It can also support performance enhancement and anxiety, relationship challenges, Low self-esteem, chronic illness and grief.ย ย
Why an immersive instead of a normal 50-minute psychotherapy session?
An EMDR immersive allows the opportunity to progress through your symptoms in a more succinct and focused way without the interruption of a 50-minute session. An immersive format may decrease overall treatment time because we will have less stop and starts where we would be checking in, addressing anything that has come up between sessions, or creating stabilisation before processing.ย ย
If I'm already a weekly client, can I participate in an EMDR immersive program?
Absolutely! EMDR immersive programs are available to all existing and new clients. If you would like to explore completing an EMDR immersive program, please speak with your therapist or email us at [email protected]ย
If I already have a primary therapist, can I do an EMDR immersive program as adjunct therapy?
Yes. Perhaps youโve a felt sense that something profound has yet to change, but youโre not quite sure how to shift all the way into a new experience of yourself with your current therapist. Maybe you now cognitively understand new things, yet your body is still confused, so youโre curious about how adjunct an EMDR immersive program can help. We will identify what format is best for you during your initial consultation and are happy to communicate with your other mental health supports if you would find this beneficial.ย
Can my private health insurance or Medicare provide a rebate for this program?
Yes, Medicare rebates are available if you have a current mental health care plan.ย ย
A rebate will be provided for each session you attend, during your initial phone call we can discuss rebate amounts and the Gap fee.ย ย
Yes, some private health funds cover for EMDR immersive programs from an AMHSW. This includes; BUPA, Medibank, Teachers Health Fund, HCF, ARHG, and Doctors Health. We recommend you check with your private health insurer and plan before booking in your initial call with us.ย ย
Can I use my NDIS funding for an EMDR immersive program?
Your NDIS funding can be used for Standard EMDR therapy. NDIA will not cover the whole cost of an EMDR Immersive program. If you have a NDIS plan that includes funding for โImproved Daily Livingโ and/or that parenting support or counselling is covered under your plan, we would love to be a part of your supports. Please book an enquiry call with us today to explore our therapeutic options.ย
Is there a difference in effectiveness if I do my EMDR immersive program in-person or online?
Current research suggests that EMDR therapy can be highly effective both online and in-person. The “best” choice depends heavily on your individual circumstances, preferences, and the specific nature of your trauma.ย
Key considerations for you are:ย
- Do you have an accessible space that is appropriate for therapy? This would be somewhere you can be in private and uninterrupted.ย ย
- Would you like to be in your own safe, familiar environment. For some individuals with severe anxiety or agoraphobia, or for those processing trauma related to leaving the house, this can make therapy possible.ย
- Are you based rurally? Telehealth options allow you more choices of therapists that are not in your immediate geographic area, allowing you to find the best possible fit.ย
- Do you have reliable internet and a device with working camera, sound and microphone?ย ย
Are payment plans available?
Yes, we do offer payment plans. Our payment plans are worked out on your individual circumstances to ensure our programs are accessible to you. Full payment is due prior to starting your EMDR immersive program and can be booked well in advance to accommodate any payment plan.ย ย ย
Can my TAC or WorkSafe funding cover the cost of an EMDR immersive program?
Both TAC and WorkSafe can cover a portion of the costs for your EMDR Immersive program. We recommend contacting your case manager with your claim number and clarifying what funds are available for therapeutic supports.
What is the EMDR resource hub?
We are glad you asked! We have created an online platform for you to access as a part of our EMDR immersive program to support your therapeutic journey before, during, and after your 2-hour sessions. This has been designed to provide further information, tools and resources on mental health topics such as window of tolerance, how to maintain your mental health, and connecting with your resources. This online resource hub will be added to with new guided meditations and exercises that you will have full access to for life.
