Counselling in Brunswick (Naarm/Melbourne)
At Centre Self Collective (CSC), our Brunswick clinic is a warm, inclusive group practice based in the heart of Melbourne’s inner north on Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Country.
From this location, our team of clinicians offer 1:1 therapy, EMDR immersive programs, and group workshops, supporting people who want meaningful, sustainable change in their lives.
We are proudly LGBTIQ+ and neurodiverse-affirming, and committed to practising in culturally responsive and decolonising ways. Our aim is that every person who walks through our doors feels seen, safe, and respected.
What we offer at our Brunswick clinic
At Brunswick, we offer a range of services designed to support different needs, preferences, and stages of your mental health journey.
1:1 Therapy
We draw on a range of evidence-based approaches (including EMDR, Schema Therapy, Art Therapy, ACT, mindfulness, and Gottman Method with couples) with a strong focus on safety, collaboration, and working at your pace.
People come to see us for support with things like:
-
Anxiety, panic, and chronic stress
-
Trauma and adverse experiences (past or recent)
-
Low mood, depression and burnout
-
Relationship difficulties and attachment wounding
-
Identity, life transitions, and self-worth
-
Grief and loss
Your clinician will work with you to clarify what you hope to get from therapy and to design a plan that feels manageable and meaningful.
EMDR Immersive Programs (Brunswick & Online)
In Brunswick we offer EMDR immersive programs – an accelerated format of EMDR therapy that allows us to work more intensively over a shorter period of time.
Rather than waiting week-to-week for a standard 50-minute session, EMDR immersives provide:
-
Longer, structured sessions so we can stay with the work without rushing
-
A clear, collaborative plan focused on specific targets (e.g. particular memories, themes, or patterns)
-
Support before, during and after the immersive to help you integrate the changes into your daily life
Immersives can be a good fit if you:
-
Feel stuck in long-term therapy and want deeper, more focused work
-
Have limited time and want to make progress within a defined window
-
Are ready to process distressing or traumatic experiences with a high level of support
We offer EMDR immersives in-person at Brunswick and online for people across Victoria and beyond.
GROUPS, WORKSHOPS, & PROGRAMS
Brunswick is also home to many of our group offerings, including psychoeducational programs and skill-building workshops.
Our groups are designed to help you:
-
Learn about topics such as trauma, attachment, and nervous system regulation
-
Practise resourcing and grounding strategies in a supported environment
-
Connect with others who “get it” and reduce feelings of isolation
-
Build confidence applying skills in everyday life
Group options change across the year, so you can check our Workshops/Groups page or contact us to see what’s currently running at Brunswick.
