EMDR Immersives in Daylesford

A dedicated space to make meaningful and sustainable change.

Daylesford is known as one of Victoria’s most beloved wellness destinations — a place people visit to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. It’s also home to one of our EMDR Immersive locations, offering a quiet, private space for meaningful change grounded in evidence-based care.

Whether you’re travelling specifically for an EMDR Immersive, visiting Daylesford for rest and recovery, or comparing online versus in-person options, our Daylesford office provides the perfect setting to do focused, intensive therapeutic work.

Why Daylesford?

Daylesford has long been one of Victoria’s most-loved wellness destinations — a place people visit to rest, reconnect and feel held by the landscape. Surrounded by mineral springs, gentle bushland and a slower pace of life, it offers a natural environment that supports nervous system regulation and deeper therapeutic work.

But it’s not just the nature that makes Daylesford special.

Daylesford is also home to a vibrant food and art culture — something many of our clients find nourishing, inspiring and deeply supportive of their EMDR Immersive experience.

Our office is located in the heart of Daylesford, offering a private, cosy, intentionally designed therapeutic space. Many clients choose this location because it allows them to step outside their everyday environment and immerse themselves in therapy in a place that naturally invites slowness, grounding and meaning.

Your time in Daylesford

Many clients find that the Daylesford environment beautifully complements their therapeutic process. Your time here might include:

  • Walks around Lake Daylesford to settle your body and prepare for sessions

  • A visit to the mineral springs or a gentle spa experience to support nervous system regulation

  • Time spent enjoying Daylesford’s food scene — warm meals, nourishing dishes, good coffee, and space to reconnect with your senses

  • Exploring local art and creative spaces to inspire reflection, awe and moments of beauty between sessions

  • Quiet afternoons, journalling, grounding or integrating your EMDR work in a way that feels spacious and unhurried

  • Nature-based activities like gentle bushwalks, forest time, or simply sitting somewhere peaceful to breathe and settle

Your EMDR Immersive can be paired with whatever helps your body and mind soften — nourishment, creativity, rest, stillness, or moments of simple pleasure. You’re welcome to bring anything that supports your comfort and regulation throughout the process, including your dog!

What is an EMDR Immersive?

An EMDR Immersive is an accelerated format of EMDR therapy that allows you to complete hours of structured, one-on-one trauma work over a shorter period of time.

Instead of weeks or months of traditional weekly sessions, immersives give you:

  • Dedicated extended therapy time

  • A clear, focused approach to your goals

  • A supportive, contained environment to process difficult memories

  • Faster, deeper change without the stop–start rhythm of standard therapy

Our immersive programs are available in-person in Daylesford or online, depending on your needs and comfort.

Acknowledgement and Commitment to First Nations Justice. Centre Self Collective acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, work, and offer care. We recognise their deep and enduring connection to land, waters, skies, and community - and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. We honour the wisdom, strength, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across all communities. As social workers and mental health practitioners, we hold a deep awareness of the systemic harm our profession has contributed to, including the forced removal of children, policies of assimilation, and the ongoing disruption of families, cultures, and Country. These injustices continue to reverberate through intergenerational trauma and ongoing structural inequities. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded. Centre Self Collective stands in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We wholeheartedly support the Uluru Statement from the Heart, the journey toward Treaty in Victoria, and the principle of Aboriginal self-determination.
